Smart Buffer (Witness Engine)
20-second circular buffer with the impact in the middle — 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after. Configurable buffer duration. Only save when you tap Save or when a crash is detected; no need to record everything.
Crash Detection
G-force monitoring with configurable sensitivity. When impact is detected, the app auto-saves the clip and can alert your emergency contacts via SMS with a link to view the clip and your location.
Live Witness
One-tap emergency: save a clip and send a secure link to your contacts with your location, speed, and video. Recipients can view the clip and open your location in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze.
Video Quality & Lens
Record in 720p, 1080p, or 4K at 30fps. Choose Ultra-Wide (0.5x) or Wide (1x) lens. Portrait, landscape, or auto orientation. Optional GPS overlay and ReplayDashCam watermark on saved clips.
Emergency Contacts & Alerts
Add multiple emergency contacts in Settings. Alerts can be sent via ReplayDashCam Server (all contacts) or manual SMS. Optional driver name for incident reports.
Recording
DashCam buffer mode: continuous rolling buffer, save on demand or on crash. Auto-start recording with countdown, voice confirmation, and thermal management (throttles to 720p when device is hot).
Stats & Odometer
Session stats: minutes recorded, clips saved, disk space saved. Lifetime odometer for total distance recorded. Quick access to open incident location in your preferred navigation app.
Reliability
Thermal management to avoid overheating. Buffer keeps running so you don’t lose the moment.
